Polyvore Style Challenge and Book Blog Tour

Love fashion? Love jewelry? Then, you will be head-over-heels for the Beading Daily.com Polyvore Style Challenge featuring jewelry designs from our book, Bohemian-Inspired Jewelry! How cool is that?! I'm super excited about this challenge. You are going to have sooo much fun with this. All you have to do is make a fashion style board using one of our necklaces for your inspiration. I created a couple different looks featuring the two necklaces in the challenge just to give you an idea:

'Bohemian Summer'
Design board featuring Lorelei's Pompidou necklace from the cover.
This outfit has the option of jeans or khaki shorts...
Bohemian Summer
'Garden Party'
Design board featuring my In the Garden necklace.

Oh. My. Gosh. Are you going crazy for this, yet? Well, hold on because Lorelei is giving away her Pompiduo necklace and I'm giving away my In the Garden necklace to two lucky winners of the Polyvore style challenge. Yep, that's right, you get a chance to win one of the ORIGINAL necklaces from the book. PLUS, the style boards with the most 'likes' and re-pins will win complimentary copies of Bohemian-Inspired Jewelry. So, If you haven't gotten a chance to pick up a copy yet, there's one last chance to win one. Contest ends on July 13th. Don't wait. Start playing, now. I can not wait to see your fashion boards. So, get styling! Visit the Beading Daily.com blog to find out how to enter.

Also, last weekend, we held a book blog hop tour for the release of Bohemian-Inspired Jewelry. It was a fabulous celebration! Even though the party is over, you can still visit all the blogs and enjoy some fantastic posts with looks inside the book, thoughtful book reviews, a special behind-the-scenes post by our editor, and spectacular jewelry creations inspired by projects in the book. Take a look, there's some fantastic reviews and some serious eye-candy!

Book Giveaway on the Bead Of Clay blog!

If you haven't already, hop on over to the Beads-Of-Clay blog to enter for a chance to win a SIGNED copy of Bohemian-Inspired Jewelry: 50 Designs Using Leather, Ribbon and Cords. This group of talented ceramic bead artists were a huge part of this book. One of the many goals that Lorelei and I had for our book was to feature a variety of artisan bead-makers. Many individual members of the BOC group donated their art beads and pendants for the jewelry projects in the book. We thank them for their generosity. We're more than happy to return the favor to the ceramic bead community and donate 3 signed copies for their giveaway! The thing I really love the most about this group of artists is that they are a collaborative group and they work together to reach common goals. You just gotta praise that!  Hurry on over and leave a comment on the BOC blog, they will be drawing the winners on Friday, May 11th. Good Luck!

Afternoon Tea by Erin Siegel (ceramic beads by NKP Designs)

Carey by Denise Yezbak Moore (ceramic pendant by Gaea)

Indigo Forest by Erin Siegel (ceramic pendant and beads by Yolanda's Clay)

Ocean Love by Lorelei Euto (ceramic focal bead by Lisa Peters Art)

Our Book

If you've been following us for a little while now, you know that Lorelei and I are writing a jewelry-making book all about creating beaded jewelry with leather, ribbon and cords. Well, a lot has happened with our little book project! And, now we can finally let you know what's going on. The direction of our book has changed just slightly since the inception over a year ago and one of the biggest changes to happen is our book's title. The working title was "A Jewelry Accord". Now, we can officially announce the book and even share the cover! We present to you:

Bohemian-Inspired Jewelry: 50 Designs Using Leather, Ribbons, and Cords

That's Lorelei's necklace and my earrings on the cover! We are so excited to share this with you! The book is available on Amazon for pre-order! I can't even believe I'm saying that, right now.

I really want to thank everyone for the support and enthusiasm you have shown us for this endeavor over the past year while we've been working on this book! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
